Laya
Laya is the 421M-parameter English checkpoint in Convai Innovations' open System One family. Its bidirectional ModernBERT encoder answers typed choice, score, and yes/no questions in one non-autoregressive forward pass, returning probabilities instead of generated text. It is intended for bounded routing, triage, guardrails, moderation, and workflow decisions and should be evaluated on each application's own labelled examples before automation.
Deployment and license note
Decision models return bounded choices, scores, or yes/no probabilities instead of long-form text. Public benchmark results are useful for screening candidates, but production thresholds should be calibrated on a labelled set from your own routing, guardrail, or action-selection workflow.
